Cashmere Shawls for Women

A cashmere shawl earns its place over years, not seasons — folded into a suitcase, drawn across the shoulders as an evening cools, and passed down once it has softened to the shape of whoever wore it most. Our cashmere pashmina shawls are hand-knitted and hand-woven in Nepal from 100% Himalayan Chyangra cashmere, a fine goat-hair fibre hand-combed from the goats' soft undercoat during their natural spring moult. The collection runs from richly patterned weaves to quiet, undyed natural melange, so there is a piece for a wedding, a long-haul flight, or an ordinary evening at home.

Weight is everything in a shawl: too heavy and it drags at the shoulder, too flimsy and it gives no real warmth. Grade-A, roughly 16-micron fibre gives you both — a lightweight cashmere wrap that folds down to almost nothing in a bag, yet holds genuine warmth when the temperature drops on a plane or after sundown. The collection gives you two clear directions, and both are genuine Himalayan pashmina:
