Everyday Cashmere

Fair, not cheap — that is the whole idea behind our affordable cashmere. The price is lower because of how each piece reaches you: hand-combed from the spring moult of Himalayan Chyangra goats, hand-knitted by artisans in Nepal, then sold direct, with no dye house and no chain of middle markups between the maker and your wardrobe. What we leave out is markup, not fibre. Every piece here is the same Grade-A, roughly 16-micron, NPIA-certified cashmere we could quietly charge far more for.

Why the price is fair, not cut

A low price usually hides a thinner story: coarser fibre, blended filler, or a brand banking the difference. We took the opposite route. Because our cashmere is undyed — the fibre's own ivory, oat, fawn and grey, with no dyeing or bleaching — there is no colour processing to pay for. Selling direct from Nepal removes the importer and wholesaler margins, and Fair Trade certification keeps the maker's share honest. The saving is structural, so it holds every day; this is standing, honest pricing, not a sale. If you have ever wondered why cashmere is expensive, the answer is usually the layers we have removed.

Quality cashmere at a fair price

Fair value only counts if the fibre is real. Ours is 100% Himalayan cashmere — a fine goat-hair fibre combed from the goats' soft undercoat, then hand-knitted or hand-woven, and 2-ply where the piece calls for it. The result is genuinely warm, lightweight and soft enough to layer under a coat or wear on its own. If you would like to check any cashmere yourself, our guide on how to tell if cashmere is real walks through the simple tests.

Where to start

An affordable cashmere sweater is the easiest place to begin. Try the men's Original Crewneck or the women's Original Crewneck for an everyday layer, or the Executive undyed crewneck for something a little more considered. Browse further through our men's cashmere sweaters and women's cashmere sweaters, or explore the natural tones in undyed cashmere.

Buy it once, wear it for years, hand it on — cashmere this fine is meant to be an heirloom, and paying a fair price for it should never feel like a compromise. That, more than anything, is what affordable means here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can your cashmere be more affordable without being lower quality?

We sell direct from our own workshop in Nepal rather than through several middlemen, and much of the range is left undyed, so there's no dye-and-finishing markup. The saving is in the supply chain, not the fibre — it is still 100% Grade-A cashmere.
